About the venue

The Rheinkirmes is one of the largest funfairs in Germany, held annually in Düsseldorf on the meadows along the Rhine. For about ten days each July, the fairground fills with rides, beer tents, and food stalls, drawing well over four million visitors. The event is traditionally opened by the mayor tapping the first barrel.
