The Salmen in Offenburg is a historic cultural venue housed in a building dating back to the 16th century, originally used as a salt warehouse and later as a tavern. It gained historical significance as the site of the 1847 "Offenburger Forderungen", an early German liberal democratic manifesto. Today it hosts concerts, readings, and cultural events.
