About the venue

The Schinkel Pavillon is a contemporary art space in Berlin's Mitte district, housed in a modernist pavilion originally built in 1969 as a guest reception hall for the East German government. Today it hosts rotating exhibitions of international contemporary art, with a particular focus on emerging and established artists working across sculpture, installation, and painting. Its compact, elegant interior makes it one of the more distinctive gallery spaces in the city.
