Schloss Ehrenburg is a ducal residence in the centre of Coburg, built in the 16th century and repeatedly remodelled - most notably in the early 19th century under Duke Ernst I, who gave it its current neo-Gothic façade. The palace served as the main seat of the Dukes of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha and was a frequent destination of Queen Victoria. Today it houses a museum and hosts cultural events in its historic state rooms.
