About the venue

Schloss Freudenstein is a Renaissance castle in the centre of Freiberg, Saxony, whose origins date to the 12th century. After a long period of decay it was thoroughly restored in the early 2000s and now houses the Terra Mineralia mineral collection and the Montanregion Erzgebirge archive. The castle courtyard regularly serves as a stage for open-air concerts and cultural events.
