Schloss Neu-Augustusburg

Weißenfels, Germany

About the venue

Schloss Neu-Augustusburg is a large baroque palace in Weißenfels, built in the late 17th century as the residence of the Dukes of Saxe-Weissenfels. The composer Heinrich Schütz spent his final years here, and the palace today houses a museum dedicated to both the ducal court and his life. Its grand halls regularly serve as a backdrop for concerts, exhibitions, and cultural events.
