Schloss Salem is a former Cistercian monastery on the northern shore of Lake Constance, founded in the 12th century and converted into a princely residence for the Margrave of Baden in the early 19th century. The sprawling complex includes a Gothic minster, baroque state rooms, and extensive grounds. Today it is best known as the home of the elite boarding school Salem International College, and the estate regularly hosts cultural events and markets open to the public.
Artistic director Georg Mais reads and reflects on the women in Mozart's life, while Katharina Schmitz and Immo Schaar perform violin and viola works from the classical era.
