About the venue

The Schwabentor is one of two surviving medieval city gates in Freiburg im Breisgau, dating from the 13th century. The tower-like sandstone structure once guarded the road leading southeast toward Swabia - hence its name. Today it serves as a landmark and occasional venue for cultural events and exhibitions.
