Hamburg, Germany
The Speicherstadtmuseum is a small specialist museum housed in one of the original warehouse buildings of Hamburg's historic Speicherstadt district, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It documents the working life of the warehouse complex from the late 19th century onwards, with original machinery, tools and goods on display. The museum gives a vivid picture of how coffee, tea, spices and oriental carpets were stored and traded here for decades.
