The Staatsbad Bad Ems is a historic spa complex in the Lahn valley town of Bad Ems, whose elegant 19th-century architecture earned the town UNESCO World Heritage status in 2021 as part of the Great Spa Towns of Europe. The Kurhaus and its surrounding buildings have hosted concerts, balls, and cultural events for well over a century - Richard Wagner and Fyodor Dostoevsky were among the famous guests who visited the spa in its heyday.
