The Stadtschloss Fulda is a baroque palace built in the early 18th century as the residence of the Prince-Abbots of Fulda. Designed by the architect Johann Dientzenhofer, it dominates the city centre alongside the cathedral. Today the palace houses the Hessian state representation and several museums, and its grand halls serve as a backdrop for concerts, receptions and cultural events.
