The Theater am Potsdamer Platz is a large modern venue in Berlin's Potsdamer Platz district, opened in 1998 as part of the Daimler City development. With around 1,800 seats, it regularly hosts major musical productions, live shows and gala events - and has served as the main venue for the Berlinale film festival's opening and closing ceremonies.
