Theresienwiese is a large open-air fairground in the heart of Munich, covering around 42 hectares. It is world-famous as the site of the annual Oktoberfest, the largest folk festival on the planet, held here since 1810. Outside of Oktoberfest, the grounds also host other fairs and public events throughout the year.
