The Volksbühne am Rosa-Luxemburg-Platz is a landmark Berlin theatre founded in 1914, built in a monumental style and closely associated with the workers' movement. It has been a major stage for avant-garde and political theatre, most notably under the long directorship of Frank Castorf (1992–2017). The venue hosts theatre premieres, performances, and interdisciplinary events.
