St. Lorenz is one of Nürnberg's two great Gothic parish churches, built mainly between the 13th and 15th centuries. Its interior holds outstanding late-medieval art, including Veit Stoß's carved "Angelic Salutation" (1517-18) suspended above the high altar and Adam Kraft's towering stone tabernacle. The church regularly hosts organ concerts and choral events.
