Zespół powstał w 1996 roku, gdy wiolonczeliści z Sibelius Academy w Helsinkach przygotowali hołd dla Metalliki. Lider Eicca Toppinen mówi: "It's incredible to think that after all these years our tribute to Metallica still speaks so powerfully to people.
