George Michael was a British singer, songwriter and producer who rose to fame as a member of the duo Wham! before launching a hugely successful solo career. His albums Faith (1987) and Listen Without Prejudice Vol. 1 (1990) are among the best-selling records of their era. He was known for his distinctive voice and hits such as Careless Whisper and Father Figure.
