Goran Bregović is a Serbian musician, composer and guitarist born in 1950 in Sarajevo. He rose to fame as the frontman of the Yugoslav rock band Bijelo Dugme and later as a film composer for director Emir Kusturica, notably on Time of the Gypsies. His music blends Balkan folk, Roma traditions and rock.
