Kenny Garrett is an American jazz alto saxophonist who rose to prominence as a member of Miles Davis's band in the 1980s. His playing blends bebop, post-bop, and African musical influences. As a solo artist he has released numerous acclaimed albums, including „Pursuance: The Music of John Coltrane".
