Life of Agony is an American rock band from Brooklyn, New York, formed in 1989. Their debut album "River Runs Red" (1993) blended New York hardcore, groove metal and grunge into something distinctly their own, and has since been ranked among the greatest metal albums of all time by Rolling Stone. The follow-up "Ugly" pushed the band toward alt-rock territory. After years of hiatuses and lineup changes, the band reunited and continues to tour.
