Pankisi Ensemble is a female vocal ensemble from the Pankisi Valley in Georgia, representing the Kist community — descendants of Chechens and Ingush. Founded by folklorist Bela Mutoshvili, the group performs archaic polyphonic songs, heroic ballads (illi), Sufi religious chants, love songs, and folk music from various regions of Georgia.
