Wiera Gran was a Polish singer of Jewish origin, celebrated for her deep and expressive voice. She performed alongside Edith Piaf, Charles Aznavour, and Jacques Brel on major stages around the world. During World War II she sang in the Warsaw Ghetto, and after the war she faced controversial accusations of collaboration with the Gestapo that haunted her for the rest of her life.
