Schumann - Between Waking and Dream

A piano recital by Marta Czech devoted to the music of Robert Schumann. The programme features three piano works: Arabeska, Fantasia in C major, and Symphonic Etudes in the 1853 version.

These works differ in scale and character - ranging from nearly intimate forms to expansive, multi-layered constructions - yet they share a common impulse: the need to express what is inner and elusive.
