André Rieu. Long Live Maastricht!
Kinoteatr Słonko - Śrem, Poland
The 20th broadcast of André Rieu's summer concert from Maastricht arrives on the screen of Kinoteatr Słonko in Śrem in autumn 2026. In July, Maestro and his Johann Strauss Orchestra will perform for the twentieth time on Vrijthof - the famous square in the heart of Maastricht - with a new show titled "Long Live Maastricht!". This is a jubilee tribute to Rieu's hometown, where the first such open-air concert took place 20 years ago.
The programme features waltzes and marches by Johann Strauss the Elder and Younger, hits from the musicals "My Fair Lady" and "Les Misérables", as well as Ennio Morricone's "Gabriel's Oboe" from the film "The Mission". Alongside the Platinum Tenors and internationally renowned sopranos, artists who have never before appeared on Vrijthof will perform.
For Polish viewers, the broadcast will be hosted by Maja Jasińska - flautist of the Johann Strauss Orchestra. She will provide behind-the-scenes insights and an exclusive interview with André Rieu recorded specially for Polish cinema audiences.
Duration: approximately 170 minutes (including one intermission). Polish subtitles.
