A Dinner for Fools
Ludwik Solski Theatre in Tarnów, Poland
"A Dinner for Fools" is a fast-paced comedy by Francis Veber about the (not so) innocent entertainment of the "upper" classes - and how quickly the roles of victim and saviour can be reversed. The main character, French bestselling publisher Pierre Brochant, is convinced he is joking at others' expense. But life has other plans.
The production allows us to examine both sides of this confrontation - because friendship, love, and the consequences of our own choices, wise and unwise, can surprise us. All in the spirit of French humour, which, as it turns out, is not so far removed from our own.
The premiere took place on 22 September 2023.
