#396 Kathryn Mohr (US) + Siem Reap (BE)
Nowa Gazownia Pavilion in Poznań, Poland
10 zł
Kathryn Mohr is from Oakland. In 2020, she released her debut EP "As If" - an analog-synthesizer mix of dark, reflective tracks that caught the attention of the DIY community and The Flenser label. Two years later came "Holly", co-produced by Madeline Johnston of Midwife - a collection of guitar-driven songs with depressive electronic interludes. Her debut album "Waiting Room", written and recorded in isolation during a month-long stay in Iceland, was released on vinyl on January 24, 2025.
Siem Reap is the project of Gilles Demolders (Oathbreaker, Wiegedood). When he introduced it with the album "Now What?", it sounded like eavesdropping on someone's whisper into a tape recorder - raw, unfiltered, and a bit too honest. The second album, "Wishin' I Was Fishin'", doesn't abandon this intimacy but expands it. Written together with Wim Coppers and Jasper Hollevoedt, it transforms lo-fi solitude into something sharper and more dynamic, without losing the crooked smile hidden behind sadness.
Admission: 10 PLN. The concert is part of the LAS concert series at the Pavilion and is co-financed by the Poznań City budget.
