Pan Jowialski - Theatre of the Dramatic Society | SCENA SOKÓŁ

The Małopolskie Centrum Kultury SOKÓŁ in Nowy Sącz presents "Pan Jowialski" by Aleksander Fredro, performed by the Theatre of the Dramatic Society. The performance takes place on Monday, 31 August 2026 at 18:00 in the Lucjan Lipinski Hall.

The title character is a raconteur, joker, and incorrigible optimist who responds to every situation with an anecdote, proverb, or witty remark. In his home, different worldviews collide: on one side, humor and good fun; on the other, the romantic yearnings of young Helena and Ludmir; in the middle, the level-headed Chamberlain's wife. This clash of attitudes creates misunderstandings, amusing situations, and brilliant dialogue, which Fredro crafts with his characteristic lightness.

Tickets are available from 30 July 2026 at 30.00 PLN (full price) and 25.00 PLN (concession). They can be purchased at the MCK SOKÓŁ box office (ul. Długosza 3), at ticket machines in Gołąbkowice Shopping Centre and at the IBIS STYLES hotel, or online. Tickets at 1.00 PLN for anti-communist opposition activists and persons persecuted for political reasons (with valid ID) are available only at the MCK SOKÓŁ box office. Online purchases include a service fee according to the Bilety24 service price list.
