Description was written before the event

In July 2026, André Rieu and his Johann Strauss Orchestra will perform on the Vrijthof in Maastricht for the twentieth time - a jubilee concert marking exactly 20 years since their first performance on this square. The show, titled "Long Live Maastricht!", is a tribute to the Maestro's hometown, where it all began.

The programme features waltzes and marches by Johann Strauss the Elder and Younger, songs from the musicals "My Fair Lady" and "Les Misérables", as well as Ennio Morricone's "Gabriel's Oboe" from the film "The Mission". The stage will host the Platinum Tenors, internationally renowned sopranos, and artists performing on the Vrijthof for the first time.

The concert will be broadcast to cinemas worldwide in autumn, including the Małopolskie Centrum Kultury "SOKÓŁ" in Nowy Sącz.
