Solaris

A monodrama based on Stanisław Lem's novel. Kelvin, the protagonist, escapes life and relationships through work - his goal is to reach the planet Solaris, whose mysteries scientists have yet to uncover. Isolation on a space station becomes a space where repressed memories surface: the suicide of his beloved. Unexpected events on Solaris give him a chance to meet himself and break free from trauma. The monodrama form emphasizes how important people and events become literally part of us.

The production won the Jury Prize at the "Bursztynowy Pierścień" theatre competition - named best production of the West Pomeranian Voivodeship in the 2023/2024 season. In 2025 it was presented at three festivals: the 65th Kalisz Theatre Meetings, the "Mała Czarna" Women's Monodrama Festival in Bielsko-Biała, and the 49th Opole Theatre Confrontations "Klasyka Żywa". The lead performer, Beata Niedziela, is a recipient of the Koszalin Eagle in the Culture category and the Koszalin Mayor's Prize for cultural achievement, awarded at the XV Koszalin Culture Gala 2025.

The production participates in the Teatr Polska 2026 programme - a nationwide tour organized since 2009 by the Zbigniew Raszewski Institute of Theatrical Art, which annually brings selected productions to cultural centres in towns without institutional theatres.
