18. Era Schaeffera is a concert blending Carnatic music - the classical music of South India - with jazz, improvisation, instrumental theatre, and multimedia.

The first part features Varijashree Venugopal, a Carnatic vocalist, accompanied by Giridhar Udupa - a master of the ghatam (a clay percussion instrument) and the vocal rhythmic technique konnakol. The second part of the evening is dedicated to the memory of Michał Urbaniaka - a jazz violinist, saxophonist, and composer - and will present new interpretations of his work alongside archival footage.

Performing on stage: Varijashree Venugopal, Giridhar Udupa, Wojciech Myrczek, Paweł Tomaszewski, Michał Barański, Mateusz Smoczyński, Zuzanna Baum, and Jasiek Piwowarczyk. Direction: Michał Kwieciński, costumes: Dorota Roqueplo.

Tickets priced at 120 PLN are available at the box office of the Witold Lutosławski Concert Studio of Polish Radio one hour before the concert, subject to availability. Seats for people with disabilities are not equipped with armchairs.
