SCHULZ'S LABYRINTH

A production directed by Grzegorz Bral, created from Bruno Schulz's "The Cinnamon Shops" and his drawings. The action emerges from the protagonist's memory - painterly descriptions interweave with the author's recollections and longing for the world of childhood, for Genius Loci, within which the "brilliant era" of the Father of trembling imagination unfolds.

The actors create Schulz's dreamlike world through word, gesture, and the plasticity of bodies, as well as polyphonic songs - a profound metaphor for the palimpsest of imagination. Scenography and costumes were designed by Adam Łucki, and music to words by Alicja Bral was composed by Maciej Rychły.

The premiere took place on 24.02.2024 at the Witkacy Stage. The production is intended for viewers aged 16 and above.
