A concert dedicated to the memory of Alina Lelito - who died in 2023, a humanist, journalist, theatre animator and instructor from Szczawnica, music lover and ambassador of Szczawnica and the Pieniny region, honoured by the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage for her cultural work.
The stage will feature AUKSO - the Chamber Orchestra of Tychy under the direction of Marek Mosia. The soloist will be countertenor Jan Jakub Monowid, and Justyna Rekść-Raubo will perform on viola da gamba - including a fragment of J.S. Bach's "St. John Passion". Andrzej Zawisza will be at the harpsichord, and Adam Nowakowski will play the lute.
Programme: works by A. Vivaldi, A. Caldara, J.S. Bach and G.F. Handel.
Jan Jakub Monowid - countertenor, graduate of the Warsaw Academy of Music and the Opera Studio in Zurich. Laureate of the Jan Kiepura Theatre Music Award (best singer) and winner of third prize at the Gianni Bergamo Countertenor Competition. His repertoire includes title roles in operas by Rossini, Handel, Vivaldi and Mozart, as well as leading roles in world premieres of works by, among others, A. Nowak, D. Przybylski and Z. Krauze - composed specifically for his voice. In 2024 he made his debut at the Teatr Wielki - National Opera in a staged version of Carl Orff's Carmina Burana. He has sung, among others, Orpheus in Orphée et Eurydice at Israeli Opera, Goffredo in Rinaldo and Ottone in L'incoronazione di Poppea at the Polish Royal Opera, the title role of Giulio Cesare and Cherubino in Le Nozze di Figaro at the Warsaw Chamber Opera, as well as Orlofsky in Die Fledermaus and Arthur in M. Dobrzyński's opera Tango at the Kraków Opera. His discography includes recordings of works by Handel, Caldara, Gorczycki, Szarzyński and compositions by Dalbavie, Kanchelli, Mykietyn, Penherski, Britten, Nowak and Kornowicz.
Justyna Rekść-Raubo - bass multi-instrumentalist, graduate of UMFC in Warsaw and the Academy of Music in Kraków. She specializes in basso continuo performance and improvised music.
