Every Day I Feel Sorry | Teatr Polska 2026 — Nowosolski Dom Kultury, Nowa Sól

Every Day I Feel Sorry
Opole Puppet and Actor Theatre im. A. Smolki
- a performance for young people and adults

Miep Gies fell and died. "Every day I feel sorry" - she said before her death, thinking of Anne Frank and the other people she had hidden during World War II. She was the one who preserved Anne Frank's diary and after the war handed it over for publication. For her proven acts of courage, the Queen of the Netherlands knighted her in 1996.

In the play we accompany Miep Gies at the moment of her fall on the floor of a Dutch nursing home after a hundred years of life. In the time between losing her balance and her head hitting the floor, we return with her to those years - when people hunt people, and ordinary life and ordinary gestures become something entirely, entirely different.

Teatr Polska is a programme of the Zbigniew Raszewski Theatre Institute. Co-financed by the Minister of Culture and National Heritage.
