Michał Modrzyński Trio is a progressive ensemble from Poland's young jazz scene, formed in 2022 during their shared studies. The three musicians - Michał Modrzyński, Tymoteusz Wójtewicz, and Norbert Itrich Aranda - have developed an original fusion formula based on the leader's compositions, blending dynamic electronic textures with advanced metric and harmonic structures.

Following successes at the Jazz Water Meeting and JAZZiNSPIRACJE festivals in 2025, the ensemble won the GRAND PRIZE at the Wojtek Siwek Jazz Individuality Competition as part of the 62nd edition of Jazz over the Odra in Wrocław in 2026. The jury recognized the group for its innovative, unconventional approach to music.

Saxophonist GREG OSBY, one of the jurors, commented:
"We typically evaluate ensembles through the lens of technique, but together with the other jurors, we were looking for style, purposefulness, and whether the musicians could tell a story. I was impressed by their visual presentation; as Dizzy Gillespie said, the audience sees you first, then hears you, so this music must be a total experience - both visual and sonic. The winners demonstrated a very personal and innovative approach - free of clichés and defying expectations, making a tremendous impression on all of us."
