A solo recital on soprano saxophone is a rarity on the world stage. This project by Adam Pierończyk has existed for 10 years - it is improvised, original music that explores the rarely accessible registers of this demanding instrument.
Pierończyk has released nearly 30 albums under his own name, including three solo albums on soprano saxophone: "The Planet Of Eternal Life" (recorded in 14th-century Gothic ruins in Peitz, Jazzwerkstatt Berlin label, 2013), "Oaxaca Constellation" (recorded in the former San Pablo monastery in Oaxaca, Mexico, 2021, containing 35 miniatures) and "On The Way" (2023). This year he was selected for the 19th time as Soprano Saxophonist of the Year by Jazz Forum magazine. In solo form he has performed in Tokyo, Paris, London, Berlin, New York, New Orleans, São Paulo, Brazil, Mexico, Tehran, Casablanca, Oaxaca, Rabat, Frankfurt, Hamburg, Prague, Budapest, Vienna and Zurich.
