KASIA LINS trio - Citizen K.L.
Kino Halszka - Szamotuły, Poland
Kasia Lins embodies Citizen K.L. to reread the songs of Grzegorz Ciechowski - both the widely known hits and those that have long lived in the shadow of his greatest successes. This is not a tribute, but an intimate dialogue between a contemporary artist and one of the most important creators of Polish music.
The project emerges from the intersection of two worlds: Lins' stories about obsession, desire, love and death, and Ciechowski's music - full of tension, eroticism and unease. Citizen G.C. and Citizen K.L. - who observes here, and who is observed?
"I didn't want to create another tribute. I wanted to enter this world in my own way - so these songs wouldn't sound like a memory, but like something that still breathes. This album is a kind of conversation with a spirit. With someone who has already said much, but I feel there is still more. His music contained darkness, sensuality and honesty. I tried to build something new from these emotions, something of my own. Perhaps in that sense it's not just a reinterpretation, but an encounter - between a woman and a man," says Kasia Lins.
On October 18, KASIA LINS TRIO will perform at the Halszka cinema in Szamotuły.
