A New Orleans native who won his first Grammy before turning 25, Payton has spent 30+ years pushing past genre boundaries - from brass-band roots and hard bop to orchestral works and funk-laced electronics. His live sets often find him playing trumpet and keyboards at the same time.

About the venue: MSiTJ "Manggha"

The "Manggha" Museum of Japanese Art and Technology is a museum in the Dębniki district of Kraków, on the bank of the Vistula. It was opened in 1994 on the initiative of film director Andrzej Wajda; the building was designed by Japanese architect Arata Isozaki. The collection of over 6,500 exhibits — woodblock prints, ceramics, costumes and weapons — is based on the donation of collector Feliks Jasieński, whose nickname "Manggha" gave the museum its name. The museum hosts permanent and temporary exhibitions as well as courses in Japanese language, tea ceremony and ikebana.
