Thanda Choir is a youth choir from Makhaza in Khayelitsha, South Africa, founded in 2023. Its mission is to support young people through music — developing talents, building confidence, and fostering teamwork in a creative community.
The name "Thanda" means "love" in isiXhosa and reflects the choir's philosophy: building bonds, compassion, and positive energy. The ensemble's repertoire features traditional South African choral music, contemporary pop, and world influences.
