Ladies or Hussars

A production of "Ladies or Hussars" by the Kutno Amateur Theatre named after Aleksander Fredro, based on the play "Ladies and Hussars" - a 201-year-old comedy that continues to entertain and provoke thought.

Director Krzysztof Murzynowski places Fredro in a contemporary setting with modern scenography and costumes, preserving what is most valuable in the original: humor rooted in psychological mechanisms, sharp dialogue full of irony, and the timeless tension between the sexes. The characters are not historical figures but recognizable types - a club of aging bachelors clinging to their "comfort zone" versus women armed with persuasive power and emotional intelligence. Fredro proves that this battle never grows old.

Scenario and direction: Krzysztof Murzynowski.
