AZMZ is an audiovisual project combining traditional Ahwach music performed by the female ensemble Bnat Louz with contemporary electronics from the Casablanca-based duo Raskas.
Bnat Louz is a female ensemble from Tafraout that has been active for over 20 years, promoting the Ahwach tradition and serving as an important carrier of Amazigh culture. Raskas creates electronic music that blends electronic elements with post-rock sensibility. Together, the artists perform a show featuring traditional singing, Souss rhythms, Ahwach dance, poetry and slam elements, contemporary electronic sounds, and visualizations showcasing the culture and landscape of southern Morocco (Tafraout, Souss-Massa region).
