Ethno Port Festival 2026 | ZAMEK Cultural Centre in Poznań
A family-friendly music workshop where participants discover how the first sounds were created and how they evolved over centuries. The programme focuses on Indian notes Sa, Re, Ga, Ma, Pa, Dha, Ni – their history and application, as well as melodies and rhythms from India.
During the workshop, participants can see and hear Indian instruments, try creating their own music, draw sounds and transform them into colours, move to the rhythm of music, and co-create an improvised orchestra. No musical knowledge is required – just curiosity and creativity.
The workshop is led by Mandar Purandare – a musician, actor, storyteller, academic lecturer and translator, born in Pune, India, who has been living in Poland for almost 20 years.
