Usta Usta Republic Theatre

The year is 3026. A Polish colonization mission drifts toward the boundaries of the known universe aboard the ship ORP Szczerbiec, believing it is possible to rebuild community in a new, cosmic space. The performance combines futuristic narrative with reflection on the durability of national ideas — Poland here functions not as a concrete place, but as an idée fixe, a vision lifted into the cosmos and subjected to new interpretation. The creators ask how community changes over time, what role historical memory plays, and why the founding myth — even after a thousand years — still has the power to shape identity.

The project embodies the characteristic approach of Usta Usta Theatre: experimental scenic forms, transgressing the boundaries of traditional theatre, and engaging with themes that provoke reflection on contemporary life within a longer historical perspective.

Warning: the performance uses laser lighting and stage smoke.
