A Dinner for Fools

"A Dinner for Fools" is a theatrical comedy that has been performed for years on stages of theatres around the world. The titular dinner was supposed to be one of many that Pierre Brochant — a wealthy publisher and successful man — hosts on Tuesday evenings with his influential friends. Each dinner invites exceptional failures, unaware that they are objects of ridicule and participants in a contest for the biggest fool.

However, an unexpected turn of events prevents the planned dinner from taking place, and Pierre Brochant's meeting with François Pignon turns into a series of comic situations that expose the weaknesses and flaws of both characters.
