Workshop "The Little World of Water" / Magdalena Gardas-Wasilewska / FESTIVAL OF THE YOUNGEST 2026
Imperial Castle in Poznań, Poland
The workshop focuses on small creatures – bees, ants and butterflies – and the role of water in the lives of these tiny inhabitants of the world. The starting point is a story inspired by the book The Story of a Little Ant, complemented by movement games that reflect the life and ways of movement of insects.
In the creative part, each family will create their own water feeder for insects, which can be taken home and placed on a balcony or in a garden. The workshop also includes sensory exploration of textures, colours and shapes. The meeting concludes with a moment of relaxation accompanied by the sounds of koshi bells and stories about the world of insects.
The workshop is led by Magdalena Gardas-Wasilewska – a theatre pedagogue and cultural animator, member of the Tettere Foundation and founder of the Głowa mała group, which creates performances and workshop activities for the youngest children and their loved ones. She is the author of publications and activating booklets, including Tu teatr. A Book for Family Use and CLOSEST to Nature, a scholarship recipient of the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage and laureate of the Creative City Szczecin Scholarship. Since 2024, she has been conducting educational activities for children and families at the Municipal Cultural Centre in Szczecin.
Recommended age: 3–5 years.
