LATO ART - SUMMER FASHION WORKSHOP Five-day fashion workshops for youth and adults (13+) | BWA
Contemporary Art Gallery BWA in Nowy Sącz, Poland
Five-day workshops designed for youth and adults (13+) interested in fashion, design, and a creative approach to clothing. The main theme is upcycling and slow fashion — fashion understood as responsible and environmentally friendly.
Day 1 – Fashion hunting in a second-hand shop
Participants will visit a used clothing store together, where they will select four wardrobe items as a starting point for further work. We will discuss fashion styles, conscious shopping, and material quality.
Day 2 – From idea to project
Participants will take on the role of designers: creating moodboards, style sketches, and inspirational collages. Working with colors, patterns, textures, and accessories will help develop a cohesive concept for their own styling.
Day 3 – Personalizing clothing
Participants will prepare their own templates, patterns, and appliqués, then use fabric paints and various decorative techniques to give their selected garments a new character.
Day 4 – Fashion accessories and jewelry
On this day, participants will create original accessories and jewelry from polymer clay: earrings, pendants, brooches, pins, and other accessories tailored to their prepared styles.
Day 5 – Embroidery, details, and the grand finale
The final day is devoted to completing projects — participants will learn basic decorative embroidery techniques. The week will conclude with a presentation of finished styles and a commemorative fashion photo session for those interested.
Each participant takes home their handmade styling and original accessories.
