LATO ART - BUILDING WORLDS WITH LEGO® BRICKS Five-Day Creative Workshop for Children Aged 9–12 | BWA
Contemporary Art Gallery BWA in Nowy Sącz, Poland
A five-day creative workshop for children aged 9–12, where participants design their own constructions with LEGO® bricks, work as a team, and learn the fundamentals of design thinking used by architects, engineers, and designers.
Workshop Programme:
Day 1 – LEGO Me and My Passions — participants get to know each other and create their own characters and miniature scenes inspired by their interests, dreams, and hobbies.
Day 2 – City of the Future — participants take on the roles of architects and urban planners, collaboratively designing a city of the future: schools, science centres, eco-friendly neighbourhoods, smart buildings, and innovative transport solutions.
Day 3 – Engineers in Action — expanding the designed city with bridges, skyscrapers, and public buildings; participants test their own structural solutions and analyse their functionality.
Day 4 – World of Nature and Explorers — creating elaborate natural environments: jungles, mountains, islands, nature reserves, and research bases for explorers.
Day 5 – Mission Cosmos — the workshop finale: designing a futuristic space station with laboratories, exploration vehicles, communication stations, and living modules. All projects combine into one shared space mission that participants present at the end.
The workshops develop creativity, spatial imagination, logical thinking, teamwork skills, and the ability to present ideas.
