LATO ART - BUILDING WORLDS WITH LEGO® BRICKS Five-Day Creative Workshop for Children Aged 5–8 | BWA
Contemporary Art Gallery BWA in Nowy Sącz, Poland
A five-day creative workshop for children aged 5–8, where participants become architects, urban planners, explorers, and builders. Each day has its own theme, and individual projects combine into shared creations. The workshops develop independence, creativity, communication, and teamwork skills.
Day 1 – LEGO is Me – Getting to Know Each Other Through Building
Group integration through construction. Children create their own LEGO avatars – miniature figures representing themselves – and works inspired by loved ones and dream destinations.
Day 2 – Our LEGO City – From Idea to Plan
Participants jointly design a city from LEGO® bricks: define its zones, create a master plan, and design the first buildings. Each child is responsible for their chosen section of the shared space.
Day 3 – Our LEGO City – Architects in Action
The city expands and comes to life: new buildings, roads, parks, and meeting places emerge. Minifigures representing the children and invented characters become its inhabitants.
Day 4 – LEGO Jungle – Building Wild Nature
Participants create their own animals from LEGO® bricks and design their habitats: plants, shelters, trees, and fantastical creatures. All elements combine into one great LEGO jungle.
Day 5 – Conquering the Moon – Building the Future
The final day is a cosmic adventure: children design elements of a lunar base – laboratories, vehicles, research stations, and futuristic devices – and at the end, each participant presents their creation and describes its function in the mission.
