LATO ART - LIGHT AND LANDSCAPE Summer Painting and Drawing Plein Air for Youth and Adults | BWA — Contemporary Art Gallery BWA in Nowy Sącz, Nowy Sącz

A three-day painting and drawing plein air workshop for youth and adults — suitable for both beginners and those looking to develop their skills under an instructor's guidance. Classes take place in the Sądecki Ethnographic Park.

Day 1 – Observe Like an Artist
The first day focuses on landscape observation and finding motifs. Participants learn the fundamental principles of composition, framing, and building plein air sketches while studying the architecture of the Galician Village, building details, and the interplay of light and shadow. First sketches and visual notes are created.

Day 2 – Light, Colour and Atmosphere
The second day concentrates on the painterly interpretation of landscape — capturing the mood of the place, observing colours and changes in the landscape under the influence of light. Participants create studies of architectural fragments and landscapes inspired by the Galician Village, paying attention to depth, perspective, and colour harmony.

Day 3 – Personal Landscape Interpretation
The final day is dedicated to creating a more developed work based on a chosen motif. Participants independently decide whether to focus on architecture, landscape, detail, or their own interpretation of the space. The completed works become a starting point for discussion about the creative process and individual artistic exploration.
