Alt-rock band Basement returns to Poland! The British group will perform on June 14 at Poznań's Tama, where they will be joined by Americans from Glare.
Basement formed in 2009 in Ipswich. After releasing their first EP, the band signed with Run For Cover Records, under which their debut album "I Wish I Could Stay Here" was released. Just before the release of its follow-up, "Colourmeinkindness," Basement went on hiatus. The album, whose recording was reportedly the most chaotic experience in the band members' lives, became one of the most important releases in the genre in recent years, and its influence on the scene is still felt today.
Following the success of "Colourmeinkindness," Basement recorded two more albums—"Promise Everything" in 2016 and "Beside Myself," released two years later. In June, the band will return to Poland (they were last here 8 years ago on a tour with Touché Amoré) and perform at Poznań's Tama.
In the capital of Greater Poland, Basement will play alongside American band Glare. Founded in 2017 in Texas, the trio has built a strong position on the independent scene in less than a decade. Their blend of shoegaze, alt-rock, and indie encapsulates extreme emotions that on last year's album "Sunset Funeral" resonate more powerfully than words.
