Cinnamon Gum

A band, yet essentially a solo project; reality, but carefully crafted; history, but constantly created in the present. Cinnamon Gum is full of contrasts.

Cinnamon Gum is a musical project founded in 2023 by Maciej Milewski (MaJLo) – a producer, vocalist, and multi-instrumentalist performing as "Cinnamon Guy". Inspired by soul and funk from the 1960s and 1970s, he blends analog sound with a modern approach to music and visual production.

The debut EP Moon Water was released in 2023, and a year later came the premiere of the album The Cinnamon Show. Recorded with classical instruments, the album pays homage to the golden age of soul, evoking the sounds of Marvin Gaye and Curtis Mayfield. The lyrical content explores themes of love, loss, and hope, with each single accompanied by music videos inspired by shows like Soul Train.

Cinnamon Gum releases are issued by Seagull Ross and distributed by Colemine Records, known for working with artists such as Black Pumas and Durand Jones. Maciej Milewski handles most of the instrumental and vocal parts himself, collaborating with musicians from the Tri-City area on drum, choir, and string recordings.
